Construction Subcontractor’s Rider to Subcontractor Agreement – Free Legal Form

The following document is meant to reasonably benefit a subcontractor who is faced with signing a Subcontractor Agreement. It addresses some of the key provisions of a Subcontractor Agreement (delays, timing, quality of work, additional work, lien rights, pay-when-paid provisions, etc.). The problem for any Subcontractor is the assumption of risks that trickle down from the Prime Contract. I’m referring to the risks the Contractor agreed to assume which it wishes to pass down, or “flow through” to the Subcontractor. The point of this rider is to neutralize some of the harsh and one-sided contract language that a Subcontractor is often faced with addressing in any proposed Subcontractor Agreement.
