Will George Echevarria Get It Right?

August 19, 2026by Jeffrey Davis

As a reminder:

Ebru Murphy v. Erdal Nehir et al. was the plaintiff’s second attempt to litigate allegations that had already gone nowhere. My client was accused of fraud, and I was personally sued for legal malpractice. Actually, the misguided Plaintiff sued me twice. The claims against me were meritless. I defended myself aggressively, relied on the record, and the case was dismissed — twice. The insane aspect of this whole thing is that I was accused of malpractice for actions that Ebru Murphy’s attorney, George Echevarria, took or failed to take when he was representing her some 3 years ago. Then he had the audacity to push a frivolous lawsuit against me on behalf of his client knowing that he was the one that injured Plaintiff through his own incompetence and negligence. He was the one representing Ebru Murphy for the time period in question.

Plaintiff’s counsel filed a notice of appeal in March 2026. Nothing has come of it and it’s likely nothing will. I doubt George Echevarria knows how to perfect an appeal. He was stupid enough to bring two lawsuit and lost — twice.

I’d be interested to know if there are other innocents out there who have been victim to this type of conduct?
